): ): I think I didn't do well for my Physics test. I left a page blank, due to too much time spent on the electric circuit calculations. Well, I'm like so dead for just the second test this term.
And another one. I got my severed my relations with the council presidents. Yeah. An argument. Not too happy with it. Especially when people don't put their shoes in you and think about the amount of commitments you have. Even the council mentor was like, supportive of them. Nobody realized I was holding a triple role in the council, when I'm not supposed to. Why am I covering up others' tasks when it's not part of my job scope? It's hard to admit; but I cried last night after that argument. Luckily I was quick to restore the relations to a decent one.
2 projects for Projectsday - and a de facto member of another project. That brings the amount of projects I have Projects Competition to 3. I don't think I can make it. I really can't.
Council commitments - the council noticeboard was not up to standard, and was removed. I wonder how my Publicity Committee members will react to that. I think they would have lost trust in me for wasting their precious time and effort. Sorry ): ): And here's a letter that I've sent to you guys.
Hi all Publicity Committee members,
It is with deep regret and profound sadness that I inform you; the dining hall noticeboard has been taken down due to it failing to meet the quality standards, as well as deadlines set prior to the planning stages. This may come as a rude shock to many of you. To start off, let me offer my deepest apologies and thanks to those who helped a lot. I really thank all of you for your enthusiasm, commitment and participation, particularly Robert, Rebecca, Yu Jing, Theron, Zhi Tao, Yufei and many others (I'm sorry if I left out anybody) who have really really put in their time and hard work.
It is regrettably, my fault for not coordinating the committee with higher efficiency; and it is my failure to be unable to take into account possible failures during the planning stages. I know I have failed this time; even with a total of 17 people in the committee, as compared to last year's merely a few, I did not manage to surpass their standard. I do feel the anguish and disgrace, but I hope that you have not lost trust in my leadership. I hope you guys will be able to give me a second chance to lead once more, and to make a difference.
I know, it is heartbreaking to see your precious time and hard work being put to waste. However, all is not lost. We still have the resources. We still have the existing logistics, and most importantly, we still have the manpower. Our greatest glory, as leaders of our own community, is not in never failing, but rising every time we fall. As we ponder over what went wrong, it is important that we suggest improvements that we can make. Do not feel ashamed to point out what are the flaws made by me as we embark on our second chance.
Do lend me your hand - deadline is by next Friday (11/07/2008). Let's re-organize ourselves once more, and we shall work together to make our committee the best it can be. I shall end my lengthy email with a relatively simple quote, from Sir Henry Ford:
Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.
Thank you.

I just completed my homework just now. The week ahead seems bleak. I'm dead for now.
